Fall of the Samurai stand-alone expansion for Total War: Shogun 2 revealed, detailed

by

The second expansion pack for The Creative Assembly’s Total War: Shogun 2 has been revealed as Fall of the Samurai. Taking place 400 years after the story of the original game, the title will feature American, French and British units along with newly added railway networks, ironclad warships, improved siege battle mechanics and improved land/sea interactions, many huge multiplayer additions, among other features to be revealed.

Expected to be released in March, this expansion is independent from the main game, meaning those who do not own the original can play it. Pricing has not been discussed or if it will be treated like a new game entirely, like Napoleon: Total War was.

Included after the jump is the reveal trailer.
